  My wife and I decided to start diving last fall in preparation for a trip to Hawaii. I came upon this shop with a Google Maps search and picked it because it was about 3 minutes away from my workplace. It turned out that I was very lucky.
  
  Our experience has been nothing but positive. Jeff (the owner) and his team are friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, and flexible. With Aquanautics training, we've learned to dive in California waters, and so are prepared to dive pretty much anywhere. Jeff is a PADI course director, which is a fairly high level trainer (look it up if you have a moment!), and yet in many cases, we have him teaching us directly. We have firsthand access to an extremely knowledgeable and conscientious trainer. All of the training staff are friendly and highly qualified. Safety and fun are both top priorities.
  
  After our basic Open Water certification, I've done diving in Hawaii and in Dubai and have had a great time. I felt very well prepared. We are in the process of getting Advanced Certification as well as Rescue certification. The flexibility in scheduling is a big plus. Aquanautics is a relatively small shop with very personalized service. They take the time to explain advantages and disadvantages of all types of gear and diving scenarios. I feel like one of the locals.

  Ridiculous. I’ve called several times since sport chalet close down over two years ago.I’ve called and left messages during business hours as well as calling and receiving endless ringing. I still can’t even figure out if they do simple scuba tank refills since no one’s ever called me back
